Minutes of meetings with Apple and Google
Dear Department of Health and Social Care,
Background:
On 19th June 2020 the BBC published a news article saying "Downing Street said the government had "worked closely with Apple and Google". It also quoted Matt Hancock as saying "We've agreed to join forces with Google and Apple, to bring the best bits of both systems together"
Our request:
Please kindly provide records to show your department 'worked closely' with Apple and Google between March 2020 and the present in respect of creating a contact-tracing app. Apple have stated the Government haven't spoken with them about any of these things so we're keen to see your evidence.
For example..
1 Minutes of meetings your dept had with Apple and Google.
2 Records of emails your dept sent to and received from Apple and Google
3 Copies of letters your dept sent to Apple and Google
Please note: We already asked the Prime Minister's Office for its records of this information and it replied saying it didn't have any and stated you may instead hold it. If you don't hold it then please kindly state who may.
Prime Minister's Office response: Ref FOI2020/08530 https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...
