Refund Information
If your ticket was purchased from another retailer and you did not use your
ticket, please contact the retailer directly within 28 days of the tickets
expiry date in order to obtain your refund.
If your unused ticket was purchased from a Chiltern Railways station, please
return your ticket to one of our staffed station booking offices, within 28 days
of the expiry date, where our staff will be able to assist you with your refund.
If your ticket was purchased via the Chiltern Railways website or mobile app,
you may sign in to your account and request a refund within 28 days of the
ticket expiry date.
If your request however is regarding a delayed journey, please visit

application. You will need to submit your claim within 28 days of the delayed
journey.
Compensation Claims
You are now entitled to Delay Repay compensation if you are delayed for 15
minutes or more while travelling on our services.
If your correspondence relates to a new claim for Delay Compensation, please
resubmit your claim through our DelayRepay15 online portal

If you need to speak to an advisor, you can call us on 03456 005 165 (option 3
then option 4), during our office hours (08:00 – 20:00).
Escalation if you remain unhappy
If you have exhausted our internal escalation process and remain unhappy, or it
has reached 8 weeks and the complaint is not resolved, you have the right to
refer your complaint to the Rail Omdbudsman.
They will investigate your complaint and make a decision based on the
information given to them. If you agree with the decision they make, we are then
legally obliged to adhere to this.
If your complaint is about the way our service has been designed, rail industry
policy, or if your complaint relates to an event that took place before the Rail
Ombudsman service was established, the Ombudsman will review it and then put it
in the hands of Transport Focus or London TravelWatch who may progress it on
your behalf. These organisations are passenger watchdogs that work with the rail
industry, government and others.
