Ministers restrictions
Dear Ministry of Defence/Veterans Affairs
Q1, Do your Ministers lose their right to free speech, when they become Ministers? If so please present the data
As elected MP's they are by the people for the people
Q2, Does this change when they become Ministers.
Does protocol change from the priority being the people towards the state/establishment ? If so how and when are MP'S made aware of this.
For example Mr Mercer ( Former Veterans Minister) claimed whilst he was still a Minister 3rd July, that he was not allowed to give his honest opinions across his Social media due to him being a Minister. He states Gov Lawyers that were using his Law Overseas Ops 6 year deadstop unlawfully. Could we see the data that restricts his rights or any Ministers to openess, honesty & transparency. It is obviously important that the public are made aware if this is the case & when this was introduced. Obviously we are aware that ALL that have signed Official Secrets can not speak of things of National Security. However this one is new to us.
