Milton Keynes Logo/Brand

The request was successful.

Dear Milton Keynes Council,

I was wondering what the reasoning behind this identity for Milton Keynes was and how much has been spent.

http://www.amazing-mk.co.uk/

I was disappointed to see it had been designed by an agency/designer in Bath, rather than Milton Keynes itself despite there being no shortage of local, and competent graphic designers who know more about the local area and what it stands for.

As much as I can appreciate the (probable) effort that went into researching and designing it, the identity/brand itself doesn't seem to represent Milton Keynes in any real way and just seems like a logo/brand/website for the sake of it. It seems a real shame that a logo like this has been passed off as a public face for our city, when in my opinion it could have been done a lot more appropriately/relevantly.

Thanks,
M Kempster
