Mill ruin - Gorseinon
Dear Gorseinon Town Council, Swansea,
Please can I request information on how much has been spent, and what work has been undertaken by you and by partners in relation to the preservation and maintenance of the Melin Mynach Mill ruin in Gorseinon.
Please include any plans carried out, made, or appetite to do this in the future.

WE approached Ancient monuments many years ago to research what we could do to restore the Mill area, but had no support at time as no funds were forthcoming. We have subsequently had input from the Friends of Melyn Mynach who are slowly clearing the site I believe. Town Council involvement has been into the BMX track skatepark and new play area at top of park mainly. We have also done tree and wildflower planting on Heol Mynydd and litter picks around park. unfortunately the park benches and seats we installed were all set alight by youngsters.
We funded a container for equipment storage for the Friends of park in 2021/2.
Im sure we would be willing to support any new initiative around the Mill area if forthcoming however.
