Mileage expenses

Dear Gorseinon Town Council, Swansea,

Please find my FOI request below.

1. How much has the Town Council spent on mileage claims to the Council staff and members in the last three financial years?

2. How many of these journeys were inside of the Gorseinon Town Council area?

3. How many of those journeys were inside of the Gorseinon Town Council area?

4. Does the Council plan to move away from crating mileage costs e.g. through making use of technology to hold meeting and emailing papers out rather than posting them?

5. Does the clerk claim mileage to and from the building the Council owns for business purposes/meetings, or is this classed as their place of work? If so, what sort of mileage is incurred and why?

6. How much mileage have council staff and members claimed from the period of February 2020 - present, considering that Gorseinon (Wales) has been in local and National lockdown restrictions for much of that time.

5. Clerks home is registered office of Council, and  all approved
travelling for Council duties is claimed.

    Members can also claim for approved Council duties.

 

6. 2020/21 claimed to date £516.10 as  Council has still been operating
and Community centre has been

   open for much of the time.
