In order to identify and locate the information that you have asked for
we need you to clarify it further. In particular, it would be useful to
know more detail about the "report" which you seek.

You should be aware when making your request that some information held
by the BBC is excluded from the Act because it is held for the purposes
of 'journalism, art or literature.' The BBC is therefore not obliged to
provide this information to you. Part VI of Schedule 1 to FOIA provides
that information held by the BBC and the other public service
broadcasters is only covered by the Act if it is held for 'purposes
other than those of journalism, art or literature". The BBC is not
required to supply information held for the purposes of creating the
BBC's output or information that supports and is closely associated with
these creative activities.

are looking for.

If by asking for:

"anything and everything that's been made public"

you are referring to BBC broadcasts relating to Michael Jackson's death,
then I should remind you, as per my email of yesterday, that this
information is excluded from the Act because it is held for the purposes
of 'journalism, art or literature.' The BBC is therefore not obliged to
provide this information to you. Part VI of Schedule 1 to FOIA provides
that information held by the BBC and the other public service

which report(s) you are specifically referring to.

The guidance outlines the following:
Section 1(3) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 ("the Act") states
that a public authority is not obliged to comply with a request if:
* it reasonably requires further information before it can identify and
locate the information requested; and
* it has asked the applicant for this further information.
In this case, the authority does not need to comply until or unless it
has received a response which sufficiently clarifies the request.

Once you clarify your request, we will be happy to consider it under the
terms of the Act.
