MHCLG refusal to confirm a selective licensing designation

We're waiting for Mr H Jackson to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Stoke on Trent City Council,

Earlier this month the Government blocked your authorities application for confirmation to designate a further 14 areas of the city.

Could you please provide a copy of the full documentation provided to you by MHCLG along with details of the ' statutory criteria' that 'The Sentinel' reports that you did not meet ?

Should the authority decide to re-submit its application, could it confirm that it will only do so after a current business case has been produced and a further comprehensive consultation held ?
The business case in circulation does not reflect the current state of affairs including legislation drafted since it's initial preparation and the consultation previously held records that the majority of residents who responded to the consultation across the city rejected your proposals.

Yours faithfully,

Mr H Jackson
