Metro Mayor

Josie Mullen made this Freedom of Information request to Liverpool City Region Combined Authority

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, St Helens, Sefton and Wirral Combined Authority,
The Metro Mayor will be elected by the people of Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, St Helens, Sefton and Wirral. Their choice will be based on the manifesto pledges of the candidates.

[1] Please supply all information that explains how the employment of a significant number of new officers/staff, without any consultation with the person who is going to lead the combined authority can be anything but undemocratic, in complete conflict with the role of a Metro Mayor and totally contrary to the DCLG's docs, including "Proposal to Establish a Combined Authority for Greater Merseyside.

[This question has already been voiced by two of the prospective Metro Mayor candidates from the Labour Party]

Yours faithfully,

Josie Mullen
