AND BW's RESPONSE TO ITEM 1
"The Consultation response analyst is a temporary BW employee.
Qualifications include a 1st Class Hon degree in English and previous employment as a Data Analyst for Christchurch Council, NZ."

I do not feel that you have provided the information I requested. Please provide details of the qualifications this person holds in social science methodology, statistical analysis, or other relevant qualifications. Please also include membership of any relevant insitiutes.

BW's RESPONCE TO ITEM 4 OR MY REQUEST
I would also like to clarify that the summary of the responses received to the Lee and Stort consultation dated 24th May 2011 (provided by you in response to my request for information) is the most up to date that BW possesses? It mentions "approximately 200 responses", whereas I am aware the BW claim the extended consultation received 428 responses. If a more up to date analysis or sumary of the the consultation exists please provide a copy of this.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Mike Wells

Information Request,

Dear Mr Wells,

Thank you for your e-mail of 15th July.

Further to your request for clarification I can confirm that this is the qualification held along with the relevant previous employment.

I can also confirm that you have been supplied with the most up to date document as only one document was produced. It was created in advance of the consultation closing therefore it would not have been possible to details the exact number of responses.

Kind regards,

Dear Information Officer,

I would like to clarify your response to this request for information and make a fresh request related to the same matter. Am I correct in understanding that the person responsible for analysing data collected during the recent Lee and Stort mooring consultation has no qualifications in social science methodology, or in such data analysis? And that they are not a member of any professional institute related to such work?

FRESH REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
In response to the request for information above BW supplied the information that the person carrying out the data analysis obtained from the Lee and Stort conultation has work experience in such work from Christchurch New Zealand.

1) Please give details of the role carried out by this staff member in the capacity described above, as well as the length of time this staff member was carrying out the roles described. If this person was making decisions over sorting data into clasificaitions please describe the nature of decisions and data classificaitions.

2) Please outline the nature of the work this staff member is responsible for in their capacity analyising data from the Lee and Stort mooring consultation. For example I would imagine that this person may be making a decision concerning if individual responses are in favour of, or against, BW's proposed new mooring regulations for the Lee and Stort Rivers. Please provide a detailed description of the role this person is playing in the analysis of this data.

I am very sorry that BW has put me in the position of having to request this information of a relatively junior staff member. Please also pass my apologies onto this individual staff member and explain that I ask these questions only through necessity and with reluctance.

Yours sincerely,

Mike Wells
