Met Police Use-Of-Force Data Regarding Extinction Rebellion Autumn Rising Protest

Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) did not have the information requested.

Dear Metropolitan Police Service (MPS),

As you are aware, from 1 April 2017, the Home Office have stipulated that all use of force must be recorded by officers in the same way.

Please can you provide a breakdown of use-of-force data relating to incidents against peaceful protestors during the Extinction Rebellion Autumn Uprising protests in London since 7th October 2019 to date that includes:

1. The number of Use of Force forms completed by officers
2. The number of times officers have drawn and/or used irritant spray
3. The number of times officers have drawn and/or used batons.
4. The number of times officers have drawn and/or used tasers.
4. How many times have officers recorded injuries caused to the person they have used force against?

Yours faithfully,

Wesley Hall
