Dear Scottish Dental Practice Board,

Can you tell me through the Freedom Of Information Act the following.........

1. How long has mercury been used in the fillings/amalgams of children in Scotland?

2. How much mercury is in each filling?

3. Is there a non mercury filling that can be used on request?

4. Is it compulsory for the filling to have mercury in it?

5. What are the side effects of using mercury in fillings?

6. How is the safety of using mercury judged and where can I find proof of its safety?

7. Is there any mercury used in the gum injection for numbing? (vaccine)
