Dear North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust's handling of my FOI request 'Mental Health support for staff'.

The mandatory 20 day response time was not adhered to, and I am curious as to why this request was not delegated to another member of staff to ensure compliance with the act.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

Yours faithfully,

Curtis Bolton

Karen Greenacre, North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

Thank you for your e-mail.

I would confirm that the internal review process is available to FOI requestors who are not satisfied with the information they received, whether that information has been provided in full or in part and an internal review would be carried out by someone not involved with the original request. Therefore, could you please confirm whether you are satisfied with the information we have provided in response to your FOI request and if not your reasons.

The Trust apologises for the delay in responding to your request for information which had a deadline for response of Wednesday 26 June 2019 and we issued a response letter to you on Monday 1 July. We issued you with in depth information provided by our Occupational Health Team who work tirelessly with all our staff and provide a valuable service to all staff especially our emergency front-line employees. I am sure you can appreciate that their time is very precious and they responded to your FOI request as timely as they were able to within their important role in the organisation.

Once again we apologise for the delay in responding to your FOI request, however please be assured that we take the process very seriously and where we have not met a deadline we always seek to learn from this in order to improve our service going forward.
