'Mental health statistics for the academic years 2015-2020
Dear Coventry University,
I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act, 2000. I would like to know for the academic years 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20:
1. The total number of staff employed in your mental health department per academic year including: mental health advisers, counsellors, student mentors as well as any other staff members.
2. The annual budget for mental health/support services provided by the university for the last five requested academic years. If necessary, this request can be expanded to cover costs of other support services within this department such as self-referral services, or online services.
3. How many students have left the university, suspended or postponed their studies due to mental health issues each academic year for the years: 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20. If possible, please include the gender and year of study of each student.
4. The number of students per academic year who have declared a mental health issue/condition to the university for the academic years 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20.
5. The number of student bookings for your counselling service through the Connect 2 system for this academic.
