Having considered your recent Freedom of Information Request -
acknowledged under our reference FOI0823015 - we write to ask for
clarification so that we may fully understand your needs and assist you.
In accordance therefore, with Section 16 of FOIA which states:
16.— (1) It shall be the duty of a public authority to provide advice and
assistance, so far as it would be reasonable to expect the authority to do
so, to persons who propose to make, or have made, requests for information
to it.
(2) Any public authority which, in relation to the provision of advice or
assistance in any case, conforms with the code of practice under section
45 is to be taken to comply with the duty imposed by subsection (1) in
relation to that case.
In order for us to identify and locate the relevant data, would you
please be kind enough to clarify the following:

In order for us to assist you, we need to understand what information you
are expecting to receive in response to the above since it is unclear why
the NICB - as Commissioners of the services to which you refer - have not
been able to provide you with the information sought.
It may be helpful if this Trust were made aware of the “…information
captured by the request…” as noted above as with the limited information
provided, it is difficult to provide a meaningful response.
Your request has been placed on hold pending a response to the above. If
we do not receive clarification within 20 working days, your request will
be considered to have lapsed. (Under section 1(3) of the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA), a public authority need not comply with a request
unless any further information reasonably required to locate the
information is supplied).
