You can write to the Ombudsman, but she doesnt acknowledge that you have. (I sent mine named and addressed to her by recorded delivery and it was signed for but I never had any reply)
The ombudsman investigators will probably make sure that you do not succeed. I always reco that you explore other avenues for fairness, impartiality and injustices as in my opinion and that of many others the ombudsman office or the foi doesnt know the meaning of the words.

Dear Local Government Ombudsmen,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Local Government Ombudsmen's handling of my FOI request 'Mental Health / Mental Capacity Act misuse and discrimination.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

There had been no response in a timely way.

I understand your legal department may be advising the ombudsman to discriminate and ignore mentally ill service users due to their lack of legal representation to get away with scandalous decisions.

Yours faithfully,

LB Croydon, YMCA and SLaM have orchestrated a campaign against a vulnerable person to evict her from her accommodation not due to antisocial behaviour or rent arrears but because of age, mental health and disability discrimination. This is clearly a public interest disclosure as LB Croydon have failed to meet their statutory duties by refusing to investigate how a vulnerable 62 year old can be threatened with the 'locks being changed' and being made homeless on the street.

I have asked the Archbishop of York, President if the YMCA, the charities commission, PHSO, housing ombudsman, health care agency and members of parliament as well as LB Councillors to look into this.

To date the response has been polite but ineffective. In which time a homeless vulnerable person will have been kicked out on the streets by YMCA.

Please help.

The LGO appear use vulnerable non capacitous patients to their advantage by dropping cases to better the statistics.

It is clear that a best interest meeting with family and interested parties happen in those circumstances to assess whether it is in the complainants best interests.

LGO fail to do this which discriminates against mentally ill patients.

Dear Local Government Ombudsmen,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Local Government Ombudsmen's handling of my FOI request 'Mental Health / Mental Capacity Act'.

Recent decisions regarding a vulnerability adult and assumed lack of capacity despite no valid psychiatry involvement was made with mental health matters ignored by your team. What extra care and support do mentally ill patients get to assist with their case?

If a patient lacks capacity, is what is the statutory law used by LGO to decline direct subject access requests?

Does this bias and restriction of evidence prejudice a mentally ill patients case and defy human rights law by saying complainants are too mentally unwell to complain or even to ask for records even if the family and next of kin feel it is in their best interests?

Is withholding these records held by LGO unlawful and open to judicial review?
