Thank you for your FOI request received 19^th December 2022, we offer the
following response:

1. How many sick days were taken by staff (including heads, assistant
heads and deputies, teachers and support staff) in schools for mental
health conditions (including stress, depression, anxiety etc) in the
following school years:

         2020/21

3096 Sickness days taken due to mental health (Schools)

         2021/22

4428.5 Sickness days taken due to mental health (Schools)

2. What was the average number of days taken, by those who took time off
in schools, for mental health conditions in:

         2020/21

Average days lost per individual taking time off work was 23.82 (Schools)

         2021/22

Average days lost per individual taking time off work was 20.50 (Schools)
