Mental capacity and the EU Settlement Scheme

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Home Office should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Home Office,

Please provide all policy documents that set out your approach to adults lacking mental capacity who are eligible to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme.

In particular, please provide policy documents setting out your "comprehensive vulnerability strategy" for the EU Settlement Scheme.

Yours faithfully,

Ollie Persey

Dear Home Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Home Office's handling of my FOI request 'Mental capacity and the EU Settlement Scheme'.

I requested "all policy documents that set out your approach to adults lacking mental capacity who are eligible to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme. In particular, please provide policy documents setting out your "comprehensive vulnerability strategy" for the EU Settlement Scheme."

You state that you hold the information requested. However, you then refused the information under section 35(1)(a) of the FOI on the basis that it is a "live policy issue" and that the policy is yet to be agreed.

I therefore narrow my request to all documents related to the comprehensive vulnerability strategy where the policy has been agreed. The Home Office has repeatedly publicly stated that it has this strategy in place, which would require at the very least a substantial amount of the policy to be agreed.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

Yours faithfully,

Ollie Persey
