Meningitis and Encephalitis Guidelines/Pathway

• Association of British Neurologists and British Paediatric Allergy, Immunology and Infection Group National Guidelines – Management of suspected viral encephalitis in children (published 2011)

Please note the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is a
Tertiary centre specialising in Orthopaedic treatment, this request does
not apply to us at RNOH as we do not admit such patients from GP’s or have
an A&E department. If required we would refer to our Microbiology team for
advice in such instances.
