Dear Mark,

 

Thank you for your request for information under the Environmental
Information Regulations (2004), which was logged under 23/802 VALE and
passed to me to respond accordingly.

 

Under Part 2 Regulation 5 of the Environmental Information Regulations
2004, you are entitled to information which is in the authority’s
possession or is held by another person on behalf of the authority unless
any exceptions apply (Part 3 Regulation 12). I have considered your
request and can confirm we do hold some of the information asked and I do
not believe any of the statutory exemptions apply to your request. Please

1. who voted for this? Vale of White Horse District Council agreed to
become a member of the UK100 network following a motion at the Council
meeting on 6 October 2021.

2. where have you published that you have signed up for this? A search on
the VOWHDC website for 'UK100' has no results. The minutes from the 6
October 2021 Council meeting are available [2]here. A [3]press release was
then published about the decision and [4]a second press release was
published when the leader of the council signed with UK100 net zero
pledge.

3. what are your plans in full to meet your pledge to UK100? Vale of White
Horse District Council’s intended action on climate change is set out in
our [5]Climate Action Plan 2022-2024. 

4. How much is this costing? Many of the actions relate to core council
activities and therefore are part of the existing council budgets.  

5. How is this funded? Many of the actions relate to core council
activities and therefore are funded by existing council budgets.

6. What proof are you using to make any claims there is man made climate
change? Vale of White Horse District Council’s commitment to addressing
the climate emergency is set out in our [6]Corporate Plan 2022-2024.
