Member Enquiries Casework

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Croydon Borough Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Croydon Borough Council,

In other London Boroughs Councillor casework numbers are publicly available. This is good practice as it enables residents to hold their elected representatives to account.

I understand in Croydon all Councillors are asked to send casework to the Member Enquiries email address or use the new casework portal which has been developed to enable casework to be logged and actioned.

For the 2021-22 year please provide in a simple table a tally of the number of emails members have sent to the email address and/or portal.

If cost allows please also provide this information for each additional year of the 2018-22 term by year until the cost limit is met.

Yours faithfully,

Jeff Kitley

Dear Croydon Borough Council,

You have failed to respond within the appropriate timeframe as required by law therefore I am requesting an internal review.

Dear Croydon Council,

You have had nearly 4 months to handle this request. Why? In line with your legal duties this is a pretty major breach. Speaking with Cllrs this information is readily available and easily logged so this is a pretty poor breach .

Yours sincerely,

Jeff Kitley

Dear Croydon Council,

Thank you for providing this however this is not the information that I requested. The information I requested was the number of casework enquiries by member.

It is clear from this information that this information exists therefore please can I have it provided to the level of detail that was requested.
