Dear Liverpool City Council,
Liverpool Express - 25th July 2016
[8 acre piece of land, bordering Kirkdale Rail station] Mayor Anderson - "It really is a hidden jewel, a breath-taking piece of green space in North Liverpool......£50,000 has been allocated to start work on the park. It is envisaged that the new park will have improved footpaths entrance and signage.

Liverpool Echo - 25th July 2016
[Mayor Anderson] The latest park will be in Kirkdale, an area known as the Ralla....Liverpool's Mayor, Joe Anderson has now given his backing to the campaign "It's full of wild flowers, butterflies and rabbits and I'm grateful to Simon O'Brien for encouraging me to see it.......We are putting some funding into it by working with the community and other partners to protect and develop the site."
Please supply the following information:
[1] Three years on from the above mentioned statements made by Mayor Anderson, what has the £50,000 Council funding been spent on and did it include the improvement of footpaths, entrance and signage, as promised above?

[2] When will Melrose Park[ or whatever name was finally chosen for the park]..be officially opened

[3] How will the park be maintained in the future?
