Dear Jane Jarman
I am writing to advise you that the time limit for responding to your
request for information under the Environmental Information Regulations
2004 (EIRs), which we received clarification from you on 24 January 2023,
needs to be extended.
The EIRs allow 20 working days to respond to a request for information
from the date of its receipt. However, it is occasionally necessary to
extend the 20 working day time limit for issuing a response. In this case,
I regret that we must extend the time limit for responding by 20 working
days because of the complexity and volume of the request. We are exploring
if any of the exceptions under the EIRs applies to the requested
information, which includes over 60 emails and several meeting papers, and
we require more time to carry out a public interest test.
I hope to let you have a response by 22 March 2023.
If you have any queries about this letter, please respond to this email.
Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future
communications.
Yours sincerely,
Joe Delafield
