Dear Suffolk County Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Suffolk County Council's handling of my FOI request 'Meeting with Department for Education and SPCF 27/1/2022'.

The level of redaction is unjustified. E.g. the name of Corporate Director Children & Young People (the name incumbent of the post is of public and democratic interest and is published public knowledge)

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

Yours faithfully,

Steven Wright

Freedom of Information, Suffolk County Council

Dear Mr Wright

Thank you for your correspondence on 24 March 2022 where you requested an
Internal Review following your request for information about 21500.

Your concerns were:

“Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information
reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Suffolk County Council's
handling of my FOI request 'Meeting with Department for Education and SPCF
27/1/2022'.

The level of redaction is unjustified. E.g. the name of Corporate Director
Children & Young People (the name incumbent of the post is of public and
democratic interest and is published public knowledge)”

Having now conducted a formal review of your request, I can confirm that
our response to your request (ref 21500) is upheld. Suffolk County Council
has reviewed the level of redaction and feel it is appropriate.

Accordingly, I believe the Council met the requirements of the legislation
and provided all information it held in response to your request.

Of necessity this response has to include reference to legislation. If
anything is unclear please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision.  The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information
Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9
5AF.

Kind regards

Becky
