Dear Scarborough Borough Council,

Do you use a computer based system at the council to manage your meeting rooms and their bookings both internally and externally if applicable.
If you do can you please tell me what system / provider you are currently using, is it a in house system or bought?
If not, how do you manage them, is it paper based, or spreadsheet based?
If bought what is the term of the contract you took out with the provider?
What are the total yearly costs for using said system?
If you have a system in place how many staff administer the system?

Yours faithfully,

Steve Roberts

FOI, Scarborough Borough Council

Thank you for your request which has been dealt with under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (FOIA). You requested the following information:

Request

Do you use a computer based system at the council to manage your meeting
rooms and their bookings both internally and externally if applicable.

If you do can you please tell me what system / provider you are currently
using, is it a in house system or bought?

If not, how do you manage them, is it paper based, or spreadsheet based?

If you have a system in place how many staff administer the system?

Response

I can confirm that Scarborough Borough Council do not use a software
package for the booking of meeting rooms. The Council use the calendar of
Microsoft Outlook to book meetings into rooms. Bookings are made
internally by Council staff. The booking of meetings rooms via outlook is
supported by our ICT Department.
