Dear Lynne Martin * (Sensitive),

Thank you for your reply to my requests. I am surprised and find it odd that they have been rolled up into one request because they are clearly all related to separate different meetings which are presumably on very different subjects and therefore would be treated as separate requests. Just because the meetings all occurred in one American trip is not a reason to lump them together into one request. My concern is by conflating different meetings that were arranged with very different purposes and which relate to different information you will more quickly meet the time and resource limit and deny my legitimate requests. And that this would be unfair, particularly as these meetings, and the requests are not known to be related. I request that you please consider this in your reply. Many thanks for your help.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Emma L Briant

Dear Dr Briant,

Thank you for your email. Our actions in placing the individual requests into one reference number are not an indication that we plan to refuse under Section 12 - time costs. As you can read in the ICO's guidance below, pages 12-13, an organisation can aggregate FOI's, even if submitted individually and broadly on the same subject.
https://ico.org.uk/media/for-organisatio...

We will review your request in full and consider if we can respond with FOIA time costs limit. If there is an issue we will be in touch again.

Yours sincerely

Dear Foreign and Commonwealth Office,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Foreign and Commonwealth Office's handling of my FOI request 'Meeting8thjan'. These international discussions are absolutely 100% in the public interest to know basic details about events involving this important ally and this basic information should at the very least be provided. Highly sensitive information can always be redacted. It is outrageous to give a blanket refusal in the case of all these requests. Please could you reconsider and review.
