Dear Aaron
Thank you for your further request in relation to the A100 course.
As per the response to your last identical request, the University of
Manchester does not run the A100 course and therefore we do not have any

Dear Aaron
I am writing in response to your request under the Freedom of Information
Act 2000. Please see the response to your questions below –
1. What was the UKCAT threshold in the most recent cycle?
UKCAT data for the five previous application cycles can be accessed via
our website at:
[1]https://www.bmh.manchester.ac.uk/medicin...
2. What is the UKCAT threshold for applicants applying for 2019 entry in
this cycle?
The UKCAT threshold is based on the overall performance of each cohort of
applicants and cannot be determined until we receive results from UKCAT in
November, after the UCAS application deadline for Medicine. Please feel
free to use data from previous years as a guide, generally speaking the
UKCAT cutoff score sits at around the top third of all candidates. More
information, including a full explanation of our selection process is
available at:
[2]https://www.bmh.manchester.ac.uk/medicin...
Specific questions are addressed in our FAQ pages:
[3]https://www.bmh.manchester.ac.uk/medicin...
3. Is the UKCAT the primary differentiator for applications?
We have two primary selection criteria ‘UKCAT’ and ‘Holistic’ review.
The processes are described at:
[4]https://www.bmh.manchester.ac.uk/medicin...
4. What do you mean by a 'holistic assessment’?
The holistic criterion is based on the academic judgement of the staff who
review your application, they can take any element of your application
into consideration, including all information on the UCAS form and our
bespoke Non-academic Information form. For more information please see:
[5]https://www.bmh.manchester.ac.uk/medicin...
We note that part of your request forms a series of admissions questions,
please feel free to contact the Medical Admissions team by email or
telephone and they will be happy to explain our processes and how they
relate to your individual circumstances. Alternatively, the UKCAT and
Holistic criteria are explained on our website and at open days for
prospective applicants.
I hope this information is useful.
Best wishes
Holly
