Dear Sam,
Thank you for your request for information received by The University of

interview:
1)what was the the ukcat scores of these invited through the holistic
process without WP+ flags for 2018 entry .
2)what were the GCSEs of these invited through the holistic process

The University has now considered your request and unfortunately we are
unable to provide you with the information at this time.
This is because the information requested at questions 2 and 3 is not
available to extract in an automated way. The School of Medical Sciences
does not record, transcribe or otherwise extract qualification data from
the UCAS forms and therefore to retrieve this information to be able to
respond to your questions would require a manual re-evaluation of all of
the individual UCAS forms. Due to the number of application forms it has
been determined that this task would take in excess of the 18 hour
‘Appropriate Limit’ (as defined in the Freedom of Information and Data
Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004), Section 12 of
the Freedom of Information Act 2000 applies and regrettably this task
cannot be undertaken at this stage. This email serves to act as a refusal
notice for this request, as per S.17 (5) of the Act.
I am able to advise you of the following information provided by the
School of Medical Sciences in relation to the remainder of your questions.
This information is provided as a gesture of goodwill however it does not
affect the University’s legal right to rely on the Fees Regulations for
the remainder of your request.
1) Please see the table below which gives relevant data on UKCAT
scores.
Mean 2579.54
Standard Deviation 59.85
Median 2590
Upper Quartile 2630
Lower Quartile 2550
4) WP status is one of the compensating factors considered during the
holistic assessment. It cannot be quantified. The lowest UKCAT accepted
was 2380. The lowest A-level prediction was AAA because all applicants
must be predicted at least AAA in order to proceed to shortlisting.
