Medicine a100 statistics
Dear King’s College London,
I had previously made a request under the freedom of information act 2000, please discard that and answer this instead:
1. For both 2018 & 2017 entry, how many applicants received and interview with 3A* or less, and of these how many received an offer.
2. I understand the number of A* at GCSE are used when ranking applicants. Will an A* for Higher Project Qualification (equivalent to half a GCSE) be counted in this at all or discarded.
3. What is the number of places available for 2019 entry and what has it been for the last 4 years.
4. Based on the 2017 and 2018 admissions cycle, would GCSE's of 3.5A*, 6As and 1B, a UKCAT score of 700 (SJT Band 1) and A-Levels predicted at A*AA received an interview?
Finally, I understand the statuary time frame is within 20 days, but please could I receive an answer before the UCAS deadline of 15th October.
Yours faithfully,
Yaasir Hassan

Dear Yaasir,
In addition, it would be helpful if you could provide us the reference number assigned to your request (found in the subject line of correspondence sent to you) or if you sent us your original request so we know which one to disregard.

Dear Information Compliance,
My original request did not send anyway for some reason, so please just answer the one above. Again, I would really appreciate it if I was given a response before the 15th of October.
Yours sincerely,

Dear Roche, Jade,
Please can I clarify the last question and ask it again:
Based on the 2017 & 2018 admissions cycles how many applicants received an interview with 3A*, 6As and 1B or less and a ukcat score of 700 SJT Band 1 or less and predicted grades of A*AA or less.
I would really appreciate if this could be answered before the end of the week .
Yours sincerely,
Yaasir Hassan
Dear Yaasir,
Thank you for your email.
This request is very specific and it is an very small number of applicants
that has the exact same UKCAT score AND SJT Band AND GCSEs etc as those
specified, hence the answer is (≤5 )‘less than or equal to 5’in line with
the ICO's code of practice on anonymisation. However, please see the below
table about those who applied to A100 with 3A*s at GCSE,
2017 2018
Interview Offer Interview Offer
Average UKCAT 704 706 710 709
Average Band Band 2 Band 2 Band 2 Band 2
Lowest UKCAT 610 620 635 635
Lowest Band Band 3 Band 3 Band 3 Band 3

Dear Roche, Jade,
Hi I understand that but as I said in the clarification, I mean candidates who had these GCSEs/Uckat/Predicted grades
*or lower* than this who received an interview,
Yours sincerely,
Yaasir Hassan
Dear Yassir,
There were 15 in 2018 and 44 in 2017.
