*We made a reduced number of offers for entry 2021, as we are expecting grade inflation due to the use
of Teachers Assessed Grades, and medical schools have been given clear instruction not to exceed the
targets set by the government. The number of offers expected for next year have yet to be determined
but are likely to be significantly increased. See

Please note that for the 2021 entry the process we used was different to previous years. Applicants who
met the minimum academic criteria were ranked using a combined point score derived from GCSE grades
and overal UCAT score. Applicants with the highest combination scores were invited for interview first.
For 2022 entry the process has reverted to overal UCAT scores looked at first. This process should be
viewed on our criteria and Departmental Supplement at www.liverpool.ac.uk/medicine/study-with-

40 applications, 27 of whom received offers. Please note that the contextualised data varies from year to
year and the process changes, so we have just provided figures from 2021 cycle only for the above
question.
For the last three admissions cycles to the A100 Medicine course, could you please provide me with a
spreadsheet with statistics consisting of predicted/achieved A-Levels and total UCAT score of the ROP
students who received offers.
The University is not able to provide the information in the format requested. This information is exempt
under section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as disclosure of this information would breach
one of the data protection principles; if linked with other personal identifiers in the public domain, it
would be likely to become personal data and subsequently identify an individual.
Lastly, for 2022 entry, I would like to know if ROP students wil be receiving special consideration in the form
of additional points for ranking purposes and if so, how many?
Please find attached the ROG/Scholars guidelines for 2022 entry on our website. We would advise you
that entry is competitive and as we received substantial applications from various groups including ROGS,
the degree and extent are largely given when al have been considered regarding UCAT scores and
interview performance.
If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your request for information, you have a right under
Section 50 of the Freedom of Information Act to ask the University to review it; however, you must do so
within 40 working days of the date of this response. Your request should include our reference number and
explain the reason for requesting a review. Email xxx@xxxxxxxxx.xx.xx or write to the Freedom of Information
Reviewer, Legal & Governance, University of Liverpool, Foundation Building, 765 Brownlow Hill, Liverpool
L69 7ZX. We will respond to your request for an internal review within 20 working days of receipt.
Following an internal review, if you remain dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have a right to
appeal to the Information Commissioner at The Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water
