September 2017 in which you requested information regarding Medicine A100
Applicants.
Your request will now be dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act
2000 and has been allocated reference FOI17-253 which should be quoted in
all correspondence. We will respond to your request within 20 working days
starting the next working day after receipt, therefore you can expect to
receive a response no later than 29^th September 2017.
Where we consider that we will not be able to meet this deadline or if
further time is required to consider the public interest test we will

Applicants.
For ease of reference, I have reproduced your questions below and set out
our corresponding responses:

1. The total number of UK applicants and the total number of places
available. Of those who applied, how many were offered a place?

*The number of funded places includes ALL Medicine places available for
Home and EU students including MBBCH with a Preliminary Year and the MBBCH
Medicine (4 year Graduate Entry). Separate intake targets are not set.
2. How many UK applicants were given an interview?
2015-16: 1417
2016-17: 1110
3. For the 2016/2017 cycle only, can I request the UKCAT scores, GCSEs and
predicted A-level results for all successful applicants?
Only part of this information is recorded as part of the application
process. Due to the number of applications it would take more than 18
hours to collate the information you require. The University is not
obliged to spend more than 18 hours (as set by the Freedom of Information
and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004)
collating such information and accordingly the exemption provided by
section 12(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 will apply.
I trust this information satisfies your enquiry. The University has a
Freedom of Information Complaints Procedure should you feel dissatisfied
with this response or the way in which your request was handled.
Complaints must be made in writing and must set out why you believe the
University has not met its obligations under the Freedom of Information
