Working with doctors Working for patients
The General Medical Council helps to protect patients and improve medical
education and practice in the UK by setting standards for students and
doctors. We support them in achieving (and exceeding) those standards, and
take action when they are not met.
Dear Toni,
Thank you for your email dated 18 February. Unfortunately The General Medical Council (GMC) would not be able to advise you on this matter under the Freedom of Information Act as you haven’t requested any information in your email. However your email below does state that you have some concerns about the Royton and Crompton Medical Centre. As The GMC is the independent regulator for doctors in the UK, it is only able to deal with complaints about individual doctors rather than complaints about a medical practice as a whole.
If you would like to raise any concerns about individual doctors this can be done using the below link:
https://www.gmc-uk.org/concerns/supporti...
If you would like to raise concerns about the Royton and Crompton Medical practice please send your complaint directly to them via the practice manager or your local Clinical Commission Group (CCG) which you should be able to locate online.
Kind regards
