Dear Ministry of Defence,
I am writing to you regarding the medical criteria for potential recruits within the armed forces. Would a condition such as ocular hypertension be a complete bar to entry or would there be a consultation with an ophthalmologist for an opinion before making a decision or grading p8? I feel some of the conditions on the JSP 950 list such as ocular hypertension have no affect on an individuals capability to do their role in the armed forces. I recently graduated from university and I am hoping to apply for regular army officer next year. I am very keen to apply for medical support officer.
