In response to a Parliamentary question from Kate Osamor concerning the auditing of medical examinations (UIN 88965), Tom Pursglove answered:

'Independent Audit is one of the department’s tools to measure quality for performance management purposes. It is a self-contained team comprising of experienced health professional assessors who review a sample of assessment reports on a monthly basis to determine their quality.'

1. Please provide the number of assessment reports reviewed by the team in August 2022.

2. Please provide the name of the benefit claimed that each report concerned.

3. Please provide the geographical location of the claimants that each report reviewed related to.

4. Please provide details of how the reports were selected for review.

5. In 2017, you provided someone with the following two guides:

Integrated Quality Audit Desk Aid for the Healthcare Professional MED-IDAHCP01; and
Integrated Quality Audit System Process Guide MED-IQASPG01
