Dear Joseph Lloyd
Thank you for your email in which you make the following request for information:
“I wish to see full copies of any media monitoring/analysis and social listening/social media monitoring/analysis conducted by or on behalf of the IOPC dated 01 September 2024 to present.”
The IOPC subscribes to a media monitoring service but we do not use an external service to provide media analysis and do not carry out any formal analysis of our own.
To explain further, our media monitoring service is provided by the Onclusive online platform. This carries out automated searches of print, online, broadcast and social media channels and notifies us of the results of those searches in regular emails. These contain a brief description of the search results, sometimes including a brief excerpt, together with a link to the content itself, which is located either on an external website or on the monitoring platform. The online content is accessible to IOPC staff members under our contract with Onclusive.
We attach an example of a recent email.
We hope this has clarified our position. Should this not be what you are asking for please let us know more about the specific information you would like to see.
Please quote our reference 5025196 in any reply.
Yours sincerely
