Dear Mr Dyer, my admissions colleagues have asked for some clarification from you on a number of points in your request. I have copied below their comments. Please could you supply answers so we can proceed with preparing a response? Thanks, John.

. In question 1, for achieved grades does that mean the only grades the applicant had achieved at the point of application, or include those they ultimately went on to achieve (i.e. which we wouldn’t have known when making an offer).
· Can I assume we only need to look at applicants with A levels and GCSE English and not other qualifications?
· Can we clarify “Mechanical Engineering” - is that applicants to the Department (i.e. including say MEng Integrated Design Engineering) or just MEng Mechanical Engineering itself
· The question seems to suggest but does not say the requestor is interested in UK applicants, could we perhaps clarify?

Dear John Evans,

For question 1, I mean the end of year 13 A-level grades, predicted grades, and AS grades

· Can I assume we only need to look at applicants with A levels and GCSE English and not other qualifications?
Can you please send me all the applicants information to that specified to the questions, but for the English Language requirement, just the students with GCSE English language grades.

· Can we clarify “Mechanical Engineering” - is that applicants to the Department (i.e. including say MEng Integrated Design Engineering) or just MEng Mechanical Engineering itself
Mechanical engineering, JUST for MEng, NOT with intergrated deisgn and engineering

· The question seems to suggest but does not say the requestor is interested in UK applicants, could we perhaps clarify?
