Meat Tax and Flying Tax

John Moat made this Freedom of Information request to HM Revenue and Customs This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

HM Revenue and Customs did not have the information requested.

Dear HM Revenue and Customs,

On Wednesday the Prime Minister announced that he had scrapped meat tax and flying tax. I assume HMRC were responsible for collecting the two taxes.

I am requesting the following information under FOI information:
1) The amount of meat tax and flying tax, separately, collected in each tax year since they became effective.
2) Which bodies HMRC transferred the meat tax and flying tax revenue to (e.g. HM Treasury, DEFRA, DfT).
3) The cost to HMRC of collecting each tax (provide annual figures).

Yours faithfully,

John Moat

What is your motivation Mr Moat? You seem to be nothing than a professional "irritant".
