Measures to help increase, encourage and aid electric vehicles and associated technology

The request was successful.

Dear Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council,

Some English local authorities have therefore introduced measures to increase uptake of electric vehicles and associated technology (eg. charging infrastructure) within their local authority area such as providing free parking for electric vehicle owners, procuring electric vehicles as part of the local authority fleet or mandating charging points as part of all new development.

1a) What measures to date have been put in place by your local authority to encourage, increase and/or aid the uptake of electric vehicles and associated technology by residents within your local authority area? Please provide details of each measure.
1b) Are any future measures being considered by your local authority to encourage, increase and/or aid the uptake of electric vehicles and associated technology by residents within your local authority area? If so, please provide details of each measure.
