Matter to lie on record

We're waiting for Eric Saunders to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Solicitors Regulation Authority,

Please provide full disclosure of the following:-

POL/1087154-2013 Policy 24 Sep 2013

CDT/1087301-2013 Conduct 25 Sep 2013

Please include the initial complaint, investigation and include all emails to/from SRA to complainant and solicitor under investigation.

Please confirm if the solicitor is still practicing? Is there any assessment of the outcome of the investigation, was the complaint upheld?

Will this particular solicitor be free to practice law at a different firm?

Will future employers be informed of this solicitors record if he changes practice?

Would it be unreasonable to notify future employers of this solicitors actions and SRA investigation?

Yours faithfully,

Eric Saunders

Dear Solicitors Regulation Authority,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Solicitors Regulation Authority's handling of my FOI request 'Matter to lie on record'.

Thanks very much for your email, I am unable to find these cases listed on the SRA website, however I am aware that these references are about a complaint about a solicitor misleading the court.

POL/1087154-2013 Policy 24 Sep 2013
CDT/1087301-2013 Conduct 25 Sep 2013

Given the seriousness of the allegations, that should have an SRA risk assessment rating of 10, I believe it would be in the public interest to disclose any lawyer with professional integrity issues to the public.

The SRA have provided no information to my request, what information can be provided?

Can the SRA publish redacted information (hiding lawyers name and firm) details of the complaint, and if the complaint has been upheld or not?

Can you confirm if this solicitor still has Higher Rights of Audience, and will continue to do so in future at a different law firm despite a complaint that he misled the court on his SRA record?

Please provide as much redacted information as possible in the public interest.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/m...

Yours faithfully,

Eric Saunders
