Mastectomy surgery following breast cancer
Dear The Institute of Cancer Research,
Please can you clarify;
1. How many mastectomy surgeries were there in 2018 and 2019 and 2020.
2. How many nipple tattoos were done in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
This is for England or the whole of the UK. Whichever is easier. I appreciate there are current delays and therefore I'm happy to wait longer than the allocated time.
Many thanks,
Yours faithfully,
Lucy Thompson
Dear Ms Thompson,
Thank you for your email to The Institute of Cancer Research, London, requesting information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please find our response below:
Researching your questions, it appears that there is no centralised statistics held for these subjects by the NHS; they may be held on an individual Hospital/Trust level. We would suggest enquiring directly with the NHS Statistics Team:

I trust this satisfies your request.
If you are dissatisfied with this response, you may ask The Institute to conduct a review of this decision. To do this, please contact the Information Governance Manager in writing using this email address, describe the original request, explain your grounds for dissatisfaction, and include an address for correspondence. You should submit your complaint as soon as possible and within 2 months of receiving this response.
