Henderson, Andrew,

Dear Mr Price

LFS/AH/RSN22594

Thank you for your recent request made under the Freedom of Information
Act.

From Monday 19^th July, face coverings have been recommended, but not
mandatory on bus and Merseyrail within the Liverpool City Region. We do
ask that face coverings are worn on Mersey Ferry services. This is in line
with advice provided by the Department for Transport on their website at
[1]this link. Merseytravel does not hold any scientific evidence on the
use of face coverings, and any questions regarding this should be directed
to the Department for Transport themselves.

I trust that this information is of interest to you.
