Dear Scottish Government,

1- Have the Scottish Government ever consulted any industrial hygenists or occupational health and hygiene specialists (example link provided) to assess the safety and efficacy of masking to reduce the spread of COVID-19 , if so what was the outcome ?

https://www.ethosenvironmental.co.uk/

2-Since 2020 till present have the Scottish Government ever conducted any risk assessments in relation to population mask wearing for adults, children in school and healthcare workers ?

The WHO list a series of harms that can occure form mask wearing.
• self-contamination that can occur by touching and reusing contaminated masks
• potential breathing difficulties
• false sense of security, leading to potentially less adherence to other preventive measures such as hand hygiene

See list of harms here-

''staff reported visual field disturbances, reduced tactile sensitivity and impaired spatial awareness, “we all hit our heads a lot on different pieces of equipment”. PPE also impacted verbal and non-verbal communication, by reducing visual cues and speech clarity, adding to the complexity of communicating with families, patients and staff. You constantly had a sore head ‘cause you're breathing in your own CO2 the whole time.''
