Martin McGartland Shooting - Massereene Real IRA murders - PIRA , former Yugoslavia company bullets

Jo Asher made this Freedom of Information request to Northumbria Police This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Northumbria Police should have responded by now (details). The person who made the request can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Northumbria Police,

You will know that during the court case of the Massereene Barracks attack it has been reported that,

http://www.newsletter.co.uk/news/local/m...

'Senior forensic scientist Jonathan Greer told the third day of Duffy and Shivers’ trial that the 65 bullets found at the scene were M67 cartridges used in AK assault rifles.

He said they were stamped with the code NMY82, indicating they were made by a company in the former Yugoslavia for use by that country’s military.' It was also reported that, 'Prosecution QC Terence Mooney asked the ballistics expert if such bullets had been used before in Northern Ireland.

“Cartridges of those manufacture and date have been attributed to the Provisional IRA previously,” Mr Greer replied.'

I am seeking the following information under the freedom of Information act.

1. Were any of the Cartridges recovered in the 1999 attempted murder of Martin McGartland attributed to those previously used by Provisional IRA?

2. Where bullets and or cartridges recovered regards 1 above stamped with the code NMY82, indicating they were made by a company in the former Yugoslavia for use by that country’s military?

3. What was the date stamped on cartridges recovered in the Martin McGartland shooting case and which company manufactured them?

4. Did any of the bullets or cartridges recovered in the Martin McGartland case come from same company in the former Yugoslavia as those detailed in both above and also in News Letter report.

Yours faithfully,

Jo Asher

The Sue Sim - Northumbria POlice Cover-up in the Martin McGartland attempted murder case.

Sue Sim and Northumbria Police were claiming that a FOI request relating to Martin McGartland attempted murder case was 'Vexatious'. The Information Commissioner has issued a Decision Notice against Sue Sim and Northumbria Police which states, 'The Commissioner finds that the force incorrectly applied section 14(1) to the request. He requires the public authority to respond to the request in accordance with the provisions of section 1 of the Act within 35
calendar days.'

That complain was upheld by the Information-Commissioner. I was NOT 'Vexatious', See Decision Notice here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/72333438/Sue-S...

Sue Sim and Northumbria Police have been caught out once again telling yet another Lie. It is now time for Sue Sim and Northumbria Police to come clean, Stop protection IRA terrorists ...
