...could you please provide details of the subsequent meeting alluded to in Paul Lawrence's email of 8th July ? Details of date held, location held, attendees, apologies for absence, copy of minutes and any documents reviewed/proposed/discussed during the meeting, plus any subsequent correspondence arising would be sufficient to satisfy this new FOI request.

Dear Mr Corrie,

 

I am writing in response to your request for information below (Ref 4659).

 

The response to your request has been prepared by the relevant Council
service and is as follows:

 

The subsequent meeting ended up taking place on Wed 7 September. It took
place at the Buxton Lane campus of Cheadle and Marple College. Present
were Cllrs Alexander, Wright, Ingham and Dowling plus Paul Lawrence,
Christine Cassidy and Andrew Hubert.

 

There are no formal minutes of the meeting.

 

At the meeting the Councillors asked that Christina Cassidy set out again
why the current development was being considered and Ms Cassidy explained
the financial and educational reasons behind the College’s thinking. Ms
Cassidy also confirmed that no decisions had yet been made by the College
and any such decisions would be a matter for the College Corporation.

 

Councillors also requested that the College attend a future meeting of the
Marple Area Committee to explain their position to the public.

 

No subsequent meeting has been arranged and no correspondence has ensued.
