Mark and Rodric and new positions
Dear Post Office Limited,Mike Davies told the Inquiry this"I have also been asked about the handling of and reaction to the issue of
remote access. I was intensely frustrated that the positions we took on remote
access changed as new information came to light. No communicator wants to
be in the position of having issued a position finding it to be flawed. But I am
as certain as I can be that when this happened we did the right thing in
ensuring discrepancies in earlier positions were put right. We could only say
what we believed to be the case at the time, on an issue which was complex
and not necessarily relevant to specific cases.
1)What did doing the right thing mean?2)Was the Legal Team under the same compunction?3)Rodric Williams says he got the issue of remote access wrong.Mark say and I quote" it is worth noting that I
spoke to Rodric Williams very regularly and worked very closely with him. "Why was the Comms strategy different to the Legal strategy and what emails or discussion documents do you hold that show Rod and Mark discussing how to handle remote access?
Yours faithfully,
john o'sullivan
