REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
I am writing in respect of your recent enquiry for information (ATI0000891) under the provisions of the
Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
You requested CCW to provide you with;
“I request a total of any money that has been paid to Marine Ecological Solutions. This should
include any money paid for any services, training, licencing, tenders, grants.
Also could you provide me with any copies of documentation, including (without limitations)
external and internal correspondence, minutes and briefing notes, with Marine Ecological
Solutions.
Just for clarity I expect the answer to be complete, or put in another way. I request any payment
made ever within your records.”
Please see attached an excel document which conatins all money paid to Marine Ecological Solutions
date, ammount and project, this is all the financial detail we hold on our financial database.
However we want to be as open as possible in answering the reminder of your request, and to help you
obtain the information you are looking for. Unfortunately, in this case the amount of
documents/information you have requested is very substantial. In order to avoid any costs to you or a
refusal if it exceeds the limit we would like to help you to reduce the scope of the request.
You could, for example:
• Be more specific about the time period covered by your request for correspondence;
• Specify the type of documents in relation to the project information we have provided in the
excel sheet attached
If you are unable or unwilling to narrow down your request we will, of course consider it. However we
wanted to give you the opportunity to reconsider your request and describe more precisely the
information you wish to have.

We now consider that we have complied with part of your request. However, if you are dissatisfied with
our response you are entitled to pursue this matter through our appeals and complaints procedure, a copy

Appeals
If you are not happy with our refusal to release information and wish to appeal, you should write to
Adrian Williams, Director of Planning & Resources, (Countryside Council for Wales, Maes y Ffynnon,
Penrhosgarnedd, Bangor, Gwynedd LL57 2DW) who will consider your appeal (unless he was involved
in the original decision to refuse information, in which case another director will consider the appeal).
Explain your appeal and mention any letters you have already sent us.

Complaints Procedure
If you wish to make a complaint about the way your request was handled by CCW, use our formal

your complaint thoroughly and reply within two weeks of receiving your letter.

letters you have already sent us.
