Mandatory training costs

The request was successful.

Dear Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust,

Can you please provide information regarding the following questions:
1. Do you outsource any of the mandatory training for clinical staff? Such as Online training regarding Infection control, consent, safeguarding adults and children, radicalisation and Equality and diversity.

2. If you outsource the training material in any way, what is the annual cost for this? If you require a specific time frame for this, 2018/2019 costing period would be preferred.

3. If you do not outsource, can you estimate the cost to the trust to design, maintain, monitor and accredit this training with Skills for Health and any other accreditation such as CPD? If you require a specific time frame for this, 2018/2019 costing period would be preferred.

4. Do currently outsource for any other training, either classroom based or online, that is not classed as standard mandatory training? Such as mental health in the work place, physical restraint training or anything else along these lines.

5. If so, can you provide the estimated annual cost for this? If you require a specific time frame for this, 2018/2019 costing period would be preferred.

6. If no, but you offer this training in-house, can you also supply us with the annual cost for this, and frequency of training. If you require a specific time frame for this, 2018/2019 costing period would be preferred.

Yours faithfully,

Daniel Jones

Dear Daniel,

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - SECTION 8 REQUEST

I am writing regarding your request for information dated 15/10/2019. In order to identify if we hold the information you requested, we will need to seek some further clarification from you.

I would be grateful if you could please clarify:

(a) your definition for "mandatory training". Does this refer to the training classified as mandatory by the Trust under our Mandatory Training Policy? Or does this refer to the subjects covered by the Skills for Health ‘Core Skills Framework’?

(b) what you mean by "other training". Is this referring to any supplementary / specific teaching associated with higher levels of some mandatory subjects in the Core Skills Framework?

Please provide me with a response by 06/11/2019. Once we have received the further clarification needed, we will be able to process your request further. However, please note that in the meantime your request will be placed on hold.

Kind regards,

Paul Bransgrove
