Thank you for your request to the BBC of 22 September 2020 seeking the fol owing
information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (‘the Act’):
I note from the bottom of this web page https://www.manchesterpride.com/alternative-
manchester-pride-festival-our-sponsors that BBC Radio Manchester are sponsors of the
Manchester Pride event.
Please provide details of the nature, content and size of all and any sponsorship provided by
the BBC for the 2019 Manchester Pride event.
The BBC did not provide any financial sponsorship, or any other services, for this event.
However, we did enter into an informal creative partnership with the event organisers. This
saw the BBC play a role in broadcasting elements of the event, which this year was held
entirely virtually.
Appeal Rights
If you are not satisfied that we have complied with the Act in responding to your request, you
have the right to an internal review by a BBC senior manager or legal adviser. Please contact
us at the address above, explaining what you would like us to review and including your
reference number. A request for an internal review must be made within 40 working days of
receiving the BBC’s response to your original request.
If you are not satisfied with the internal review, you can appeal to the Information
