Manchester Hackney Carriage Byelaws

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department for Transport,

On 22 May 2014, your department refused to approve a proposed set of hackney carriage byelaws which had been submitted by Manchester City Council. (Your Ref: BAT 7/1/01)

Subsequently, the council decided to submit a revised set of byelaws.

Please say whether such a revised set has been received by your department, also say whether such proposed byelaws have been approved or disapproved by your department and provide copies of any documents which communicated this approval or disapproval to Manchester City Council.

On the on the other hand, should Manchester City Council have submitted such proposed byelaws and subsequently have withdrawn such a submission, please provide copies of any documents which communicated this withdrawal to your department.

Yours faithfully,

Gerry O'Leary
