Management /Retention of Data

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Essex County Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Essex County Council,

1) Please provide your records retention policy

2) If not covered by the above question, please provide information regarding the retention of emails received by any @essex.gov.uk email addresses and time period you retain the emails

3) Please provide any material such as internally issued guidance or documents that exists and applies to employees of the Social Work/Children Services department and recording/uploading data received via text message from a child/parent/carer to for example their allocated social worker on their issued work mobile phone

4) Please provide all versions from 2016 of your "Security Classification Policy" for each department, if different

5) Please advise how many staff and from what department and at what level of seniority can access Children's Social Care files and your policy on staff printing information from Social Care files
a. Please advise what system/software is used for storing Children's Social Care files

6) Please advise how many staff and from what departments and at what level of seniority can access the electronic area which holds copies of Complaints received and copies of Responses to Complaints and your policy on staff printing information from this area.

7) Please provide a copy of your most recent version of 'Records Lifecycle Diagram'

8) Please advise if Essex County Council uses Data Analytics for any purpose and if so, what purpose

9) Please advise if Essex County Council logs or records IP addresses for any purpose, and if so, with what intent/purpose?
